Wander + Ivy Sauv B!
Each Wander + Ivy bottle showcases a fun animal! Our Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from the renowned Marlborough region in New Zealand and has a super cute kiwi on the front label. The kiwi is the national icon of NZ and unofficial national emblem. Fun fact: the kiwi is a flightless bird and a symbol for the uniqueness of New Zealand wildlife. Today, New Zealanders are often called 'Kiwis,’ a nickname bestowed on them by Australian soldiers in the First World War.
Flavor Profiles
Sauv B has very distinct flavor profiles, which likely contributes to the peoples’ love it or hate it mentality. Some varietal may include flavor profiles of grass, vegetation, even minerality while others are super fruity, green peppery, or herby. A wide range in profiles ensure you’ll be kept on your toes. If you’ve been working on your tasting skills - Sauv B’s are great practice because of how diverse they can be! Refresh on the 4-steps to tasting wine here!
Pairings
The most important section of this post! It pairs well with light meats like chicken and fish and is phenomenal with sushi. Sushi is notorious for not pairing or playing well with other wines. Take out sushi with a glass of Sauv B? Boom, we just planned your next date night! This varietal is also delish with herb heavy dishes as well as goat cheeses!
Set the Scene
Wrapping this up with a bit of visualization, since it is cold in Denver and we’re dreaming of warmer summer weather. Take a moment to picture yourself, dolled up for a day with friends. It’s a hot sunny summer day. You’re hanging with your pals on a patio somewhere, not thinking about winter weather OR a pandemic. You pour yourself a crisp cold glass of Sauv B, fresh from the refrigerator at 50 degrees! Not a worry in the world, just a delicious glass in hand. Life is good! Cheers!
